By Harley | February 14, 2009
Harley-Davidson Motor Company Plans Events around the Globe to Celebrate Female Riders - It looks like this May will be 'Women Riders Month' or at least it will be according to Harley Davidson. Thousands of female riders will be hearing the call of the road in celebration of the first-ever Women Riders Month.
Throughout the month of May, Harley-Davidson will be having all sorts of events intended to pay tribute to the number of women who are or soon will be behind the handlebars. One of the larger events planned is the 3rd Annual International Female Ride Day on Friday, May 1, 2009. Harley-Davidson plans to stage special rides in New York City and Milwaukee to commemorate International Female Ride Day.
Harley-Davidson reports the percentage of women who purchase new HD motorcycles has tripled in the last two decades and account for nearly 12 percent of the new Harleys purchased.
