    Looking For a Light Motorcycle

    By Harley | June 11, 2009

    Yamaha Virago 250

If you're looking for a small, lightweight motorcycle you can't beat a Yamaha Virago 250.  Smooth riding, fuel efficient and economical, this could be your answer to the high price of gasoline.

The Virago is air-cooled, with a v-twin engine and is a great cruisers for short or long trips, with passengers or just a single rider.

Whether you're 5' 5" or over 6′ you can get down the road at speeds fast enough for the interstate highways and smooth enough to enjoy about town.  Though not considered a fast motorcycle or by any means a rocket, it's still fast enough.

You can take her on trips of over 150 miles in a single day and the bike runs like a trusty steed.  And though the EPA rating for this motorcycle is around 70 mpg, with good maintenance and safe driving most get near 80 miles to the gallon and often higher.

It’s quiet, runs smooth, shifts smooth and doesn’t sound like a wimpy blender when throttled.  The Virago sells for around 5 thousand dollars new at your local Yamaha dealer, but you can find it for a lot less here - just click the name Yamaha Virago 250.
